Yeeaaaaaarrrrgh!

Howard Dean is bidding to be the next chairman of the DNC.

Dean has been outspoken since the beginning of his presidential bid in saying that the Democratic Party must establish a separate and unique identity from Republicans.

Even as the voting machines from this election are being packed away in preceincts all over the nation, the Democrat party is already trying to sabotage their chances in the next election cycle. Life is good.

Oh, and another thing. Mr. Johnson claims to be a medical researcher??
I think he needs to brush up on his skills. I'm sure no medical researcher, but I found all of my information easy enough.
He might be mildly amusing, but he's no researcher.

The Republicans have never had it so good if the Democrats dub Dean as DNC chair. How can they think that picking the far left Dean will help them? That's a giant step backward I think. Wasn't Dean one of the first to accuse Bush of actually knowing about 9-11 before it happened? Incredible! What's next - Michael Moore and Barbara Streisand on the team? Carville said the Dems need to be "Born Again". I guess they're having some serious labor pains.

He has my vote!

I may have to temporarily switch parties to get this guy in place. This would be the best thing the Republican party could wish for. To think that mankind has searched for centuries to find the missing link and the Democrats have had him all along.

As long as he does the scream everytime, he gos on TV, I will also temporarily switch parties to help him out.

This could just be a ploy to draw attention away from Billary Clit-on. If the rest of the DNC come across as nuts maybe Americans will forget what a psycho bitch she is.

You all are so ignorant. Howard Dean is not a far left liberal. He's a fiscal conservative with an A rating from the NRA. He also has passion and a strong message. He understands issues, and a majority of Americans support his anti-war position. Howard Dean, as DNC chair, would not be a frontman giving speeches. He would be a behind the scenes guy, brilliantly crafting the Democrats' message into one that a majority of Americans will buy into. Chairman Dean will be the Republican Party's worst nightmare.

Beth, I will assume from the email addy you left that you are a student at U of Wisconsin, probably in Madison. From that, I could draw a a great many conclusions about your politics, but I will leave that for another day and address the specifics of your comment.

Actually, on paper one would believe him to be a valid and electable candidate, but his extreme verbal vitriole, the level of extremism within a large and very visible portion of his supporters, and the fact that he comes from a state with a population far less than each of several cities, with far fewer governing difficulties than those faced by those mayors, made him a poor choice for the democrat party nomination this year.

His poor record of security within the state, as evidenced by the problems at the nuclear plant in Vermont, also causes rational people to take pause.

The democrat party at this time does not need an obvious student of the James Carville school of political gaming. It needs a level headed, rational, competent, and more centrist leader to forward the agenda of the party. The DNC would be ill-served by someone who can be as reactionary as Mr. Dean has proven himself to be during the primaries.

Now, when you can discuss his pros and cons intelligently and without beginning with name-calling and belligerence, please feel free to do so.
