Minority Rights

In this election season the DemocRats are using scare tactics to keep the minority vote in lockstep with the Party line. It never ceases to be a cause of wonder to me that they usually succeed in doing so...other than the fact that a great majority of their voters are held by the public largesse rather than actually agreeing with many of the party's platform stances...school vouchers, higher marginal tax rates, etc.

HISTORICAL FACT:

In the twenty-six major civil rights votes since 1933, a majority of Democrats opposed civil rights legislation in over 80 % of the votes. By contrast, the Republican majority favored civil rights in over 96 % of the votes.

Source:congressional Record ................So who is the party for the powerless minorities?

Many of the inroads on racism wouldn't have taken place without the GOP fighting the Democratic party on higher principles. So to the minority voters; the next time you pull that lever, stop and think for a moment who really put you there in the booth, without fear of Jim Crow.
